Onion and sweet potato bhaji (gluten free)

Try this easy-to-make sumptuous, vegan, gluten-free recipe from award-winning chef Dev Biswal, owner of the Ambrette restaurants in Kent.

Ingredients:

1 medium onion sliced

100grams of sweet potato grated

1 medium potato grated

2 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp red chilli powder

2 tsp fresh ginger paste

1 tsp fresh garlic paste

1 tsp green chilli paste

1 tsp carom seeds

1tsp cumin seeds

1 tsp fennel powder

1 egg

2 tbsp chick pea flour

Salt to taste

Lemon juice

Process:

Mix all the ingredients together. Heat oil to smoking point. Fry till crispy and golden. Serve hot.
